What’s included
Clear the build-up.
Help the rainwater flow.
Gutter cleaning can mean different things. This service clears the material collecting inside your guttering, helping rainwater flow through it.
Leaves, moss and debris removed
Clear the build-up inside your gutters using a ground-level vacuum system, with the work assessed around your property and access.
Downpipes checked
Downpipe checks are included. Tell Ben about any overflow or known blockage when requesting your quote, so he can assess what is needed.
A visit arranged with you
Gutter clearing is available as a one-off service. The work, price and visit are agreed directly with Ben.
Getting a quote
A price for
your property.
Gutter clearing is quoted separately from window cleaning. The amount of guttering, property height and access help Ben understand the work. A few clear photos are a useful starting point.
Send the basics
Share your postcode, a few photos and what needs attention. Mention anything that could affect access, such as a conservatory or extension below the gutters.
Agree the work
Ben reviews the details and confirms the scope and price. He’ll let you know if he needs more information about the property first.
Arrange a time
Once the quote is agreed, arrange a visit directly with Ben. Sending an enquiry starts the conversation; it does not book a visit automatically.

Good to know
Gutter clearing:
your questions answered.
Why should I get my gutters cleared?
Leaves, moss and other debris can block your gutters, making rainwater overflow instead of draining away. That water can soak external walls and contribute to damp problems. Clearing the build-up helps rainwater flow and reduces the risk of overflow caused by blockages. BA Window Cleaning offers gutter clearing in Colchester and nearby areas, with downpipe checks included. If your gutters already leak or overflow, mention it when requesting a quote: clearing debris won’t repair damaged guttering or solve every cause of a leak.
Is gutter clearing the same as cleaning the outside?
Gutter clearing removes leaves, moss and debris from inside the gutters. Cleaning the visible exterior of the guttering, fascias or soffits is separate work. You can ask for both in the same enquiry, with the price and scope agreed first.
How much does gutter clearing cost?
Ben provides a free quote based on your property and access. Send your postcode, photos and a short description of the work. The window-cleaning calculator does not include gutter clearing.
Do I need to be a regular window-cleaning customer?
No. You can enquire about a one-off gutter-clearing visit. If you already have regular window cleaning, you can ask about the extra service through your usual contact with Ben.
Can you check the downpipes?
Downpipe checks are included. If you have noticed overflowing water or suspect a blockage, explain this when you ask for a quote so Ben can assess what work is needed.
What if access to the gutters is awkward?
Include photos showing the gutters and the space below them, especially where there is an extension or conservatory. Ben will review access before agreeing the job and may ask for more details.
Can I arrange this with my next window clean?
You can ask. Gutter clearing needs its own quote and time allowance, so Ben will confirm whether a combined visit is possible before you make arrangements.
Tell Ben what needs clearing.
A postcode, a few photos and a quick message are a useful place to start.
